Welcome!
Welcome to the new JCCI Blog, EngageJax!
This has been a year of changes at JCCI! We launched our new web site in January. In the Spring, we started giving you The Scoop every Monday morning - sharing the inside news on projects we're working on and program events for you. We've increased our presence and activity on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages.
Today is the launch of our next step in keeping you informed about what we're doing, giving you deeper insight than you can get in The Scoop or on social media, and really giving you a glimpse into what JCCI is all about. We are driven by the bold idea that together we can build a better community.
EngageJax is really an opportunity for you to learn what those changes are and how they come about, engage with who is working to make those changes, and most importantly, how you can act to make an even greater impact.
That's what we're all about. Bringing people together so that important and meaningful changes can happen in our community.
JCCI staff will be posting regularly – and we’ll be sharing posts on a variety of topics, including leadership development, community vision, and opportunities to engage in the community. You’ll also get in-depth, fact-based views of important Jacksonville issues, overviews of JCCI programs, projects, and events, and details about what we’re reading and why. We'll also have an opportunity to ask some of our friends six questions - and share their answers.
We’ve also invited volunteers, donors and leaders to write about why they support JCCI – and you’ll get invitations to be a “Guest Blogger” too!
We hope that you'll check back with us regularly. If you have suggestions on content, we'd love to hear it. If you have a comment or opinion on what you see here, we hope you’ll post it to our comments, and help us start meaningful discussions.
You can also keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin....or better yet, we hope to see you at an upcoming JCCI or JCCI Forward event or program!
Thanks for engaging – we’ll see you soon!
