JCCI's Core Programs

Initiated in 2012, JAX2025 is a unique visioning initiative that uses a collective impact model to ask Jacksonville residents to dream big – what do we want to be in the year 2025? How can we get there? JCCI serves as the backbone organization, facilitating the initiative as over 16,000 voices were heard, making it one of the most successful community engagement efforts in the city’s history.

The process brings together a committee of volunteers from various backgrounds with a range of experiences.  Committee members meet regularly to learn from speakers ranging from experts in the field to policymakers and industry professionals.  They discuss how what they have learned applies to the community's potential to address problems and work for real change.

Implementations are citizen-led processes that are typically held over a 2-year timeframe. Implementations follow a Community Inquiry and are charged with implementing the recommendations that formed in the Inquiry process.

JCCI’s Community Indicators provide an opportunity for community reflection and understanding. We can see where trend lines are improving and the quality of life is getting better, as well as those aspects of the community that need additional attention and improvement. JCCI has one of the longest-running, most consistently published community indicator projects in the world, known as the Quality of Life Progress Report.

Forward is JCCI's young leaders program that brings together people from all backgrounds to learn, engage and act to achieve the JAX2025 Vision. It is where the doers, thinkers, makers and game-changers come together to share ideas and move Jacksonville forward.

We provide emerging leaders opportunities to Learn about themselves and our community, Engage to expand their personal and professional networks, and Act to make positive changes in our community.
