Every day, JCCI is driven by the bold idea that
together, we can build a better community.
Implementations
When JCCI brings people together to examine community problems, they identify solutions and then act to make positive change happen in the community. For four decades, JCCI has been behind a series of critical decisions and transformations in Jacksonville, and is recognized globally for creating measurable improvements in our quality of life. Each time we convene the community, we commit to supporting the advocacy and action necessary to turn recommendations into results.

ReThink Aging Implementation Task Force
From 2015 - 2017, this Implementation Task Force works to execute the recommendations from the ReThink Aging Inquiry. The way we age is changing: we're living longer; we're staying healthy longer; we're starting new careers and working longer... We are reinventing what it means to age. The ReThink Aging Inquiry Committee recognized that its work was not strictly an aging initiative but rather, an initiative to improve livability for all.
Mental Health Implementation Task Force
From 2014 - 2016, this Implementation Task Force works to execute the recommendations from Unlocking the Pieces: Community Mental Health in Northeast Florida. Mental illness is pervasive in Northeast Florida, just as it is throughout the world. It affects people of every age, gender, race, socio-economic standing, and sexual orientation. By seeing that the study’s recommendations are implemented, we can help our community improve its ability to understand mental illness and those who live with it, as well as contributing to an improved mental health system in our region.
