Unlocking the Pieces:  Community Mental Health in Northeast Florida

An Implementation Task Force is advocating for recommendations from Unlocking the Pieces: Community Mental Health in Northeast Florida.

Seven subcommittees of over 100 volunteers are committed to make real and lasting improvements in Northeast Florida from now through the end of 2016. Their work is conducted in meetings and documented in Basecamp, an online platform for collaboration. It is not necessary to use Basecamp, although it helps Task Force participants share resources, stay on top of meeting dates, and continually update others on their progress.

If you are new to Basecamp and would like a couple of hints on using it, check out the following video tutorials.

Mental Health Implementation

From 2014 - 2016, this Implementation Task Force works to execute the recommendations from Unlocking the Pieces: Community Mental Health in Northeast Florida. Mental illness is pervasive in Northeast Florida, just as it is throughout the world.  It affects people of every age, gender, race, socio-economic standing, and sexual orientation.

By seeing that the study’s recommendations are implemented, we can help our community improve its ability to understand mental illness and those who live with it, as well as contributing to an improved mental health system in our region.
